About Rev. Gigi (That's Me!)
MISSION: To officiate weddings without judgment, within your means, with dignity, joy, sensitivity, and in a safe environment. I vow to work with you to make your wedding, binding, or coupling experience as memorable and joyful as possible.
VISION: YOU define the vision. I will work with you and your party to make it conform to that vision. YOUR vision.
HISTORY: We welcome all faiths and walks with open arms & I Officiated the First Same-Sex couple in Crestline.
My beloved husband, Reggie, and I are long term married folks and with much training, I can authentically speak as to what marriage IS and what it takes to keep it going. Keeping it stress free and down to Earth is "Number One" on that list! In 2001, just after the 9/11 attack, the world was in shock. After being together 6 years, we wanted to express our commitment before our friends and the Creator. We're both Army Veterans and filmmakers. I was in college, and we were poor as church mice. By tradition (I'm Native American and Scottish), we would be blessed before friends and family in Pow Wow in Long Beach, CA. We weren't sure exactly who or how many were going to attend. A month before Pow Wow, we took off to Big Bear and married at the Hitching Post (which is no longer there) with just the Pastor and his wife. A month later, we had the blessing at Pow Wow. It was SO much easier, a lot less of a hassle, and less expensive! It was much more intimate as we had time for each other! (Our family and friends Pow Wow, wound up being over 250 people!) Since 2003, we have lived in Crestline, CA (92325). As I am very active in the community, there are so many wonderful Vendor businesses I network with who can help contribute to your memorable experiences on your special day. The business owners and I know each other personally and we can vouch for whatever your needs. Reggie and I want to impart that same spontaneous experience upon other couples who visit our mountain community!
